Fear and Self-Loathing in Centennial
I suck. At least, that’s how I feel right now. I didn’t accomplish what I planned over the Thanksgiving break– getting completely caught up on grading. Nope, not even close. I try to rationalize that I deserve a break too, but the load of being continually behind weighs on me. Now I’m in the position of choosing what assignments can go without grading, how am I going to schedule the remainder… there’s only 18 days of school left until the end of the semester and winter break, and only 16 for me as I fly out of here on December 20.
We did get to see a fantastic concert two days before Thanksgiving– Barenaked Ladies. Second time we’ve seen them live. I think I’ve attended more concerts in the past year than my entire life before it. More on that later.
Much as I can’t wait to unleash scintillating prose in a topical treatise, I have to offer these scantlings of writing, rather than nothing at all. Not like anyone reads this, but they have come before and so shall they again. Ha!

Have seen BML 3x. They rock. Always have, always will. Wanted to see them when they were here, but settled for seeing Rise Against and 30 Seconds To Mars instead.
Not grading doesn’t mean that you suck. It means the grading didn’t get done. It may mean you should re-evaluate your feedback to student systems. That you’re concerned about it denies the assertion of your first sentence.
Oh brother…here we go again! How many times do I have to tell you to give yourself a break for crying out loud!! Good grief…see…I told you that we’re our own worst critics!
I love you…you don’t suck…well, not in that way.
We had a lot of fun at the BNL concert…and will have even more fun at the TSO concert coming up! Nothing wrong w/ going to concerts…as long as we don’t go completely broke doing so.
Love you baby!!
oh yeah, btw…nice pic you have up there! It looks quite familiar…I wonder why that is?
Hey … what are we? Chopped liver?
I LOVE BNL. They were my first real concert.
Just don’t make any career decisions based on your first year. That’s my only advice for today.
