Confirmation
July 17, 2006
After an untellable amount of wrangling and frustration, my wife, Maria, finally has her gastric-bypass surgery scheduled today! Our insurance is reinstated, and all systems are go. Today will change our lives forever– obviously mostly for her, but to some extent for all of us who love her. At 1:30 p.m. today, this journey reaches its destination– and a new journey begins.
Also on the subject of confirmation, I signed my contract last Wednesday (7/12). One more (perhaps the biggest!) step down.
Update 7.18.06: Surgery went perfectly and Maria is now recovering well. She will likely come home Thursday afternoon.

You are such an awesome guy to hold her hand thru all of this.. All will be well. You are both very bless to have found each other.. Take care of you – BOTH.. Not everyone on Xanga is a ding dong.. LOL..
Congratulations — on both counts! I’m eagerly awaiting news about Maria. Did everything go smoothly?
Hooray!
So relieved! That’s fantastic news!
Hi Jason,
Some history: I am fairly new to Xanga and I when I was browsing through the teacher rings, I got to your site and liked your style of writing. When I saw that you were gone- there was a brief moment of despair (per se) but I followed your posts here and well, the sky was blue again. Since I never really said anything to you before, I thought this would be a good (and appropriate) time to express that your posts are missed over at Xanga so I will be reading your thoughts here.
